It has potential but needs to be explored further.

I like the idea of a crossing for one but 2 objects - creates some tension.

I still feel it could be pushed more. I also liked the way it was starting out... but somehow it got lost in the clean up.

Tried it again:

Learning that holding off on zooming, color and, true black and white till things are set in pays off.

I found the sponge tool pretty useful this time around.
Also tried saving steps so I can look back on it to see the progression:

Ha, I like how its tiny when I start.

I felt like I was hunting this one. Waiting for a bite and trying not to scare it away till I know I got it.

On a side note tomorrow will be the three week mark from when I really tried to get things moving.

Taking that last one a one step further... cause thats what its all about.

One important thing I learned from this is when you feel like zooming in do just the opposite (did that by accident).

Off to a slow start (like yesterday) but hopefully plow through the mediocre ones and find some good designs.
The last couple of ones from yesterday were forced and I think it shows.

Picked up some more paper and markers today.
I need to let those other markers replenish themselves.

They are starting to look the same... I need to work harder at getting good (different) shapes from the start.

Okay;

I think I've taken a step back after that foward push from yesterday.

My shapes are kinda getting sloppy and lost.
One thing I found is if you harvest good shapes (initially) you harvest good designs.

Oh also:
My markers is already drying up... and I just got it yesterday.
Thats why there's brown in there. I kinda like the way they turn out tho.

Going to re-group, assess the damage and, hit the drawing board again...

This time I think I will take the same route as the satillite.
Do thumbnails then flesh out the good ones.

I have to keep reminding myself that Ardath here is a explorer of the way ancient past but has technology of the way distant future. He does not need air tanks because he breathes oxygen, so the stuff he carries is more for protection and search of intelligence.

The only survivor of the voyage from his home planet Kyria in search of a new planet (earth).
The Spaceship which the Kyriaians traveled in crashed on the Earth before it is fully formed. He now has to restore the Spaceship and circle the earth till life evolves like a satillite searching and cultivate a intelgent life.

... or something like that.

These are pretty rough - Once I find the type then I'll start adding the costume design.

This one put up quite a fight.
After many tossing and turning of the original the duel was finally done.
This one was a tough challenge but in the end... I guess it was a draw.

Like the first one I will probably go back on these and re-touch them after this next and last of the three.
